With a loyal following, the monthly breakfast club, held at Muse Café & Deli, has established a reputation as a good sounding board for self-employed and small business owners wishing to discuss concerns and gain advice from their peers.

The informality of the event appeals to those who find some of the more structured networking events nerve-wracking.

Nicole said: "It is an honour to be asked to take over Rise & Shine from Julie and Anne as they have created such a warm and welcoming network for local businesspeople. I'm excited to invite speakers to share their stories and am keen to hear any ideas, speaker suggestions or feedback from club attendees to ensure this remains Guernsey's friendliest and relaxed business breakfast networking club."

Co-founder Anne Jenkins, who is relocating back to the UK, said: “Both Julie and I have thoroughly enjoyed running Rise & Shine over the last few years. We’ve heard from some exceptional speakers, introduced hundreds of attendees to a wider network, and gained clients for our respective businesses in the process.

“Nicole is an experienced event organiser and has a passion for supporting others in business. We look forward to seeing Rise & Shine go from strength to strength.”

The next Rise & Shine event takes place on Tuesday 1 September with speaker Shelaine Green, Chair of Women in Public Life. Find out more.
